The work
You're likely not here because something is broken beyond repair, but because you've been holding something together on your own for a long time, and you're tired.
Maybe you and your partner keep having the same argument in different outfits, or your faith shifted and your marriage is still catching up, or you've spent so many years being who everyone needed that you've lost the thread of who you actually are.
Underneath almost every conflict is someone reaching for connection, and someone too afraid of their own hurt to receive it. The moment partners can finally hear each other beneath the pattern, something shifts that cannot un-shift. That is the work I care most about.
Services
Every part of you that shuts down, keeps the peace, goes critical, or disappears into compliance has been doing something important. Couples work here goes underneath the conflict to what those parts have been protecting, in both of you.
Learn more →Nothing is inherently wrong with you. You may be more anxious than you once were, experiencing lows that feel deeper, or noticing frustration that doesn't match the moment. There's likely good reason for all of it, and it makes sense. That's where we begin.
Learn more →The habits you build now are the ones you'll be living inside later. Whether you're planning a wedding or a year or two into marriage, this work covers what couples often assume they already agree on and don't.

A lot of what shapes a relationship never comes up in a standard intake. Different cultural backgrounds and family expectations. One partner who is neurodivergent and one who isn't, and the constant translating that requires. A life stage that changed everything, whether that's a new baby, an empty house, a wedding coming up, retirement, perimenopause, or arriving at midlife uncertain whether the life you built is the one you actually want. None of that has to be flattened or set aside to fit the work.
My work is grounded in attachment theory, which looks at how safe it feels to reach for the people closest to you, and what happens when it stops feeling safe. I'm a Level 2 trained IFS therapist with specialized training in IFIO, the version built for couples, and I'm on the certification track in Emotionally Focused Therapy. If you've been reading about attachment styles and want to do that work rather than simply name it, that's the work I do.
You shouldn't have to perform being okay here. I work from structured, evidence-based approaches, and I'll say what I'm actually noticing. Expect warmth and directness in equal measure.
That's a good reason to talk. A free 15-minute consultation costs you nothing and tells you a great deal about whether we'd work well together. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so and help you find someone who is.
